Innovate@UCLA, operated by UCLA’s Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC), is a membership organization that bridges academia and industry to foster technological innovation. One of its flagship initiatives, Engineering 170 (Eng170) / Young Tech Professionals (YTP), is a project-based course designed to equip undergraduate and graduate students with critical business, technical, and social skills. Using Google Design Thinking, students collaborate with industry professionals to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) addressing real-world challenges in Los Angeles, culminating in a pitch competition.
